Lake Pend Oreille

7
43 miles long and up to 1,150 feet deep, Pend Oreille is the largest lake in Idaho. The Clark Fork River and the Pack River flow into the lake, and the Pend Oreille River flows out, eventually running into the Columbia River. Most of the shoreline is sparcely populated and surrounded by national forests. The town of Sandpoint, on the northern shore, has the largest population, and the town of Bayview, within Farragut State Park, is on the southern end.
